AIT Architects Partner Awards 2009 in silver for König + Neurath

Karben, January 2010 – The architects’ trade magazine AIT invited entries for the Architects Partner Award competition for the first time in Autumn 2009, to honour the sales skills of companies from a variety of industries. In the first two weeks of October, more than 1000 architects and interior designers nominated their Top 10 best architectural consultants and best companies in 7 different categories in a representative survey. The nomination was unprompted – there were no guidelines. The winners received their awards on 18th January 2010 at the Contractworld exhibition, which incorporates the international floor covering fair, DOMOTEX.
König + Neurath was awarded the silver Architects Partner Award in the category Contract Furniture + Partition Walls and is one of the 10 top companies with the best consulting and sales skills picked by the architects. More than 100 companies were nominated by the architects and interior designers who were questioned. This award is both an incentive and a commitment to continue developing and improving our competence in consultation for architects and interior designers, according to Heinz H. König + Neurath – the company
Established in 1925, the company is now an international full-service provider for office, seating and room systems. König + Neurath is run by its owner, Egon König, and is not publicly traded, making it fully independent. On 01 August 2007, Egon König moved to the Supervisory Board, transferring his position as Chairman of the Board of Management to Dr. Wolfgang Reising. The new Board, comprising Dr. Wolfgang Reising (Chairman), Heinz-H. Meyering (Marketing/Sales) and Thomas Fehr (Production/Technology), will continue to develop Germany's best-selling office furniture brand.
The company currently has three production locations and seven showrooms, with additional international locations in the UK and the Netherlands. The company's headquarters is located in Karben, near Frankfurt am Main. König + Neurath employs approx. 1,200 people, with sales in 2008 of €174 million, of which more than one quarter were made abroad. The firm boasts its own wood and metal processing facilities, and this vertical integration gives it a great deal of flexibility when it comes to meeting individual customer requirements. König + Neurath has been dealing with the theme of "ergonomics for the working environments of the future" for many years, and this is an important component of the company's philosophy.
